For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) is a volunteer driver organization founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen. Its goal is to inspire and educate students through global robotics competitions.
We are FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 1100, representing Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, Massachusetts. Our team is made up of high school students from Northborough and Southborough supported by adult mentors.
We inspire students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) by competing in a global robotics competition held by FIRST. We build robots, host outreach events, and educate future leaders and innovators.
